Well the cheque has now cleared and a donation to Cag will be on its way in the next few days. Thanks again to all who helped and supported me on this one!

 

Good Luck to anyone else reclaiming mis-sold PPI from LTSB (or anyone else for that matter) - these loans dated from approx 10 years ago, so it can be done

This is fab, well done!

 

And I must thank you for help with mine as well. Thank you.

 

In my hubby's SAR they sent info going back with the main of the stuff as from later 1999, mainly bank statements, and loan/credit card agreements as from 2001.

I noted on the bank statements there were another 2 loans (could see from the loan account numbers), and I know PPI was added but they did not enclose the agreements for these.

 

What do you think the chances are in asking for these with the £1 payments?

Or do you think they would have enclosed them with the SAR with the other ones, if they still had them.

 

When asking the data dept, they just said your local branch may still hold these details, but if that was the case, wouldn't the data SAR section have had them?

Thank you for your support of mine - we have all helped each other I think

 

I'm not sure about those other agreements you mention - did they pre-date the ones you did receive? We also had stuff going back to 1999 in both Mr L's and my SAR and of our loan agreements that they included the earliest dated from 2000.

 

In the accompanying letters we received with the SARs they said we also had other loans which pre-dated these, but that they no longer had the agreements. One of these I know was paid for the full term and definitely had PPI. I actually tried sending in a mis-sold PPI request based upon only having the account number but unsurprisingly they rejected my complaint. I never pursued this one with the FOS because of my lack of paperwork - I hadn't thought about doing a CCA. That might be a good idea - if I were you I would give it a go as it couldn't hurt............I will too I think! It may also be true that your local branch may have the paperwork - mine isn't likely too as the branch I took mine out at is no longer there

 

I would give it a try and see what happens - it's only £1 at the end of the day!

Yes for a £1 it may be worth giving it a go anyway and see what happens.

 

I think there was a gap from the very earliest one to the one after which did follow on to the recent one reclaimed.
