Can they terminate our mortgage?

I posted before about how we have all our accounts, mortgage, 2 remortgages with HSBC and am wonderign can they terminate our mortgage? We are both self-employed so to reapply means getting all our books etc and it would be a nightmare.

I wondered is it possible for them to terminate our mortgages and tell us to find another lender?

Check your T&Cs.

 

I am pretty sure that unless you fall behind payments a lot, they can't do that, unlike your bank account or overdraft. It's a fixed term contract, so they can't just cancel it for no good reason. (This incidentally would be the reasoning behind early redemption charges if YOU cancel).

No they can't - as long as you conduct your mortgage correctly
