  1. Glad you are aware that interest has not been calculated "by the book" it may be that the solicitors may try to make something of this - however shouldn't detract from the claim a) as they will not go to court and b) if they did I am confident that the judge will think that at least you have made an estimate to the best of your knowledge. Good luck!
  2. Anyone think there may be uses for local action groups? I know the court buddy system is aimed at local support, but I for one would be willing to help anyone having difficulties locally. The benefits of this would surely be knowledge of local court, and also local branch policy etc. Am posting this in LTSB forum but maybe should be in general forum(sure it will be moved if it needs to be). Anyone interested let me know - now where am I from? Errrm?
  3. No you can only claim for the )/D interest that is directly a result of the charges(usually too complicated to work out at this stage!). Also remember you can't add the 8% until the claim is made at court.
  4. and remember the charges are not "illegal" they are unlawful!
  5. Point1 - No - it is not greedy reclaiming what is rightfully yours. Point 2 - No - not if you don't want to.
  6. Seen the details of your claim posted in litigation section. Interest seems a bit on the high side, are you sure that it is correct?
  7. Absolutely delighted for you please Pm the full details to BF so that the survey can be updated - LTSB have ben dragging their feet recently good to see things happening in this area

    has anyone

At best they are toothless - at worst they are in the pay of the banks - you decide.
  9. This has been a concern of mine - However I am now convinced it is only a matter of time until LTSB is near the top of the survey results.
  10. Not at all - have had much assistance at brnch level in this respect (can't say too much more here!) however once the automated process takes over is a different matter it would seem.
  11. Fulli intend to - initial letter sent re charges of almost£2k - however is it not interesting that a D/D to a member of the LTSB group gets paid whilst others don't especially as they have already refused it once with account i n a lower debit balance?
  12. This could be an interesting? LTSB unpaid DD on 1 st of month - standard letter blah blah £35. D/d represented 19 of month and paid! Despite account being further o/d than on 1st. Interestingly the recipient of the D/D was another part of the black horse empire. Any one have any views?
  13. Just read that back - apologies for the typing! Spill checker clearly not working!
  14. Thanks for prompt reply - my concern is with LTSB - seem to be many earlier litigation in process entries - not so many concluded - appreciate that this also can be totally up to date - but there does seem to be a bit of a trend emerging. Would appreciate anyones input. *You can use your edit button - but I did it for you:)*
  15. I find the poll on bank charges refunded fascinating and appreciate that it can never be totally up to date. However whilst scrolling through the litigation/litigation concluded sections I think there are some case that are dragging on much further than others - is there a pattern emerging here about which of the banks is dargging things out the longest? I have my suscpisions - but would love to hear comments.
  16. thanks for the replies - sorry still not sure which way to go with this but beginning to think that interest may be to tricky to claim at this stage - just to clarify thought my FULL wording for the letter was "AS YET undetermined" - any views would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the fight!
  17. Not being an accountant or indeed even a barely competent user of Excel, I am seriously struggling on this point. Am today sending initial letter request for repayment of charges but see no way of my being able to calculate the interest. The sum involved is just under£2k, stretching back to mid 2002. What would be the implications of stating in the letter "plus an as yet undetermined amount which you have charged me for interest for the sum which you have taken." Any one have any thoughts?
  18. Don't want to bang on about this but anyone got any views on using this wording?
