Please help!! I bought a house from the local Police Authority on 02.02.2007 As the property had been empty for a while I had a plumber come in to service the central heating system, which he condemned. I was given an assurance from the police authority that the Central heating system was "In full working order", but they did give me the opportunity to send in my own plumber to service the system before I completed, but my plumber was unwilling to do this as I was not the lawfull owner of the property. I have since replaced the system at the cost of £2000.00. My solicitor has contacted the Local authority twice with regard to this matter, not they have not responded to any communications. Can anyone help with this matter of point me in the correct direction. Would a claim to the small claim court be appropriate? Or if not any suggestions as to what I can do now. Bearing in mind I'm now skint and unable to pay a solicitor(who doesn't know what to do next either).

Hello all I have applied for a judgment, which was granted on 12.10.2006 against Mint, as they acnowledged the claim but failed to post a defence. I am unsure what to do next, I have contacted moneyclaim who recommend I ask for a warrent, but I'm not sure what this entails, and how I go about it. Can anyone help!

Hello All Just to keep you all up to date. Citi Settled my claim this morning with a cheque for the outstanding amount. There reason. "Having evaluated the size of your claim and the logistical difficulties of attending South Shields County Court which is 155miles from my clients office, I have concluded that your case is simply not worth contesting on economic grounds alone". I think I may have still won even if they had attended court, It was being held at North Shields County Court not South Shields. Never mind another one bites the dust!

the Letter basically states: Upon the Courts own motion. The Court has made this order of its own initiative without a hearing. If you object to the order, you must make an application to have it set aside, varied of stayed within 7 days. I will contact the court again to say I object
