  1. Okies, i had my Photo Shoot outside the Abbey this morning. From what i can tell its going to be along the lines of people do beat the banks in court, if you want to do this go to consumeractiongroup....... now thats gonna be a plug and a half. It should be in the Manchester evening news monday or tues....or maybe late edition today. I am going to be buying so many editions to see if i can find it in there.

I noticed that mine has a square next to my user name, where most dont, so i pressume the ones with squares means settled at court, and the others are settled before court? If not, why have a got a square......... I wanna know.... was it something i said. I knew i shouldnt have worn a thong to court
  5. Personally i would email all of them, may be interesting to see the different responses you get

  8. I am sure its all good, you should congratulate yourself and feel proud of what you have achieved so far!
  9. you have nothing to loose by emailing her, just make sure that you dont sound like you dont want to go to court.
  10. below is my statement of evidence, adjust it to fit your case, i cant find it on the site, but i did get it from here somewhere grr how do i remove html tags so i can post it
  11. N1 is the paper claim form, have you got the statement of evidence yet?
  12. you "may find them here Internet Archive Wayback Machine
  13. OOOh, another person going for a warrant of execution! It is starting to get interesting:-D Did you file via MCOL or paper N1? i am curious as it seems to be paper N1's that they are unaware off.
  14. i had a £1500 overdrarft with the abbey, i let them pass it to DCA's, then tied them in knots...havent hear a peep out of them for over 6 months now. They know if the come after me again they will be in court or get a fine for breaching the code
  15. To be honest, i don't know, but i am sure someone in the know will post back.... *Bump*
  16. Awwww, thankyou!! he will have a great day, and will get the bouncy castle as a suprise one weekend I couldn't have got where i am without all you guys
  17. here is the link for T&C's that Petecat was refering to:) http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/abbey-bank/101308-t-cs-nov-1998-a.html I though you had them already?
  18. Your N1 should show the charges and interest acurate to that day, and also say that you are claiming 8% from the day you filed to the day they settle (or words to that effect) I included in my bundle what the charges and interest would be on the date of my court case. Yhis is not necessary just i found it usefull.
  19. They were give till the 21st of june to pay up, but didn't. A warrant of execution was granted on the 22nd June. I am having a ball! but really wanted the pennies by next wednesday as its my sons 5th birthday, and he wants a bouncy castle!

Tell to stick it where the sun doesnt shine, you have tried to bring it to asn amicable settlement. I would reply, inlight of you last offer, which i personaly find obnoxious, that negotiations cannot go any further untill the full amount of my claim is offered. If you are hopeing to deter me from proceeding all the way to court then you are sadly mistaken. I infact will relish my day in court, but was merely trying to save the Abbey some money and relief the stress on the court system! or words to that effect, i think they think you dont want to go to court!
  21. Yeah, lol, although its only £2775 so they will pay...hopefully in cash i just have to try n get the Bailiff to tell me when he is calling, i didnt want to mention press interest as he may clam up tighter than Inga Kirkman at a charity event

Owen, excellent, you started a thread! A see how nice they are at helping Looks like all you questions have been answered! Good luck.... if you want the statement of evidence i submitted i will post it, although the link you were given by Jules is probabbly where i got it from All the best Reka
  23. that sounds fine to me Manchester Evening News have been in touch, they are doing an article on it and want photo's taken outside my local branch tomorrow. Also, BBC have been intouch and want a crew there if the bailiffs turn up.... this is great coverage, and i have plugged CAG hideously, stating i could not have done it without the help and support i got from here C'mon SKY, you are missing out! tee hee
  24. I have just had a really deflating thought. I suppose you can call it a reality check. I am due to call the Bayliff this morning to try and see if i can find out when he is going to call on my local branch so i can be there. However, I don't know what he looks like. So even if i am outside i won't know its him. Chances are it will be some bloke in a suit, that will go to the counter, show the warrant and be handed over cash or a cheque! He will look no different to a usual customer! Its not like the Abbey won't have the funds to pay him or wont be able to write a cheque out. Ahh well.... at least it will mean i finally get my money!
