Sam You were brill. Just watched the clip. What a natural you were in front of the camera and you got your story across really well. I would've been a wreck with umming and ahhring. another week and it should be over. Di -
Just succeeded getting full payout for my son without receiving any GOOD WILL offers throughout the court process and no contact from them until letter received on Saturday offering full claim settlement including interest to date and court costs etc.Court date was 23rd July. He's going to move banks now. I had contemplated emailing and phoning to ask for early settlement but didn't. I really don't understand why Shabbey treat everyone so differently. No wonder some people lose their nerve. Perhaps that's Shabbeys tactic. Di

Cici1 Please keep looking at the posts on here. I have just supported my son to claim £2500 from Abbey which we started in Feb. Yesterday he had the full amount paid in his account. We filed on line to MCOL and followed all the advice here (there's plenty of it) Prepared the court bundle with help from everyone here, and ready to post it last Saturday when it needed to be in (court date was 23rd July) and on that day received a letter offering full settlement including interest to date and costs. One happy mum and her son !!! Di

Jester Is the money actually in the bank or have you just received the settlement offer letter. Be careful if money not in your account. Don't close any court date until money is where it should be. Have received letter Sat stating settling in full and cheque being sent out or put in account if still open but no timescales. When we rang today, it could take another 7 - 10 days so reminded them that court bundle would be submitted by 7th in prep for court 23rd July. Di

OwenP Is your letter from Location Code TS6 BO3 c/o Abbey National House and signed on behalf of Abbey? If so these are the solicitors acting on behalf of Abbey. My son has just phoned them and he was told that Abbey have sent cheque to them and when they receive it they will send it on to him. Could be another 7 - 10days before he receives it. They said that Abbey had definitely agreed to settle. My son informed them that if cheque wasn't in by 7th July then court bundle is still going in for the 9th as court case is the 23rd July. I can't believe that so many people are getting different responses and outcomes from the same bank. He goes on holiday on the 16th and returns 22nd. Won't be much of a holiday if he has to prepare for court at the end of it. Di

Reka Not been around for a few days. Husband had another cardiac prob. Wish I could have been around when you had the bailiffs going in. No payment into bank as yet and following a call to them tonight the prepared court bundle may be sent in if no definite date of when money will be in account. Di -
Jules 1973 and Petcat Thank you for your comments. It's not my money:( Belongs to my son but he has promised his old mum a small reward. It's my Birthday tomorrow so may be treated to a small piece of jewellery. On another note; money not yet in bamk so have sent a reply to Abbey stating if not in the account by the 7th July court bundle will be submitted and court process followed. Di
