  1. Hi guys, Not too sure if I have posted in the right place or if anyone can help but here goes........... my son and his ex girlfriend split in up in March, my son stayed in their co own house with joint mortgage and she went back to live with her parents. His ex continued to pay her half of the mortgage into their joint account, ( which was used for bills etc only). They both agreed to split the contents of the house when the house was sold, which is up for sale. My son continued to pay for the house hold bills himself, council tax, water, etc and everything seemedto be going well untill she barged in the house last week demanding to take some of the contents as she had a buyer for them, even though all the contents were joint owned, my son refusedher them and she assaulted him by leaving him with a black and blue cheek. He called police made statement etc but nothing came of it but the police advised him to change the locks. Yesterday while he was out of the house she went into the house via lock smith and cleaned the housed out of everything bar the dog, she also cleaned the joint account out even though she has not paid anything in since February, my son has proof of this. Could my son prosecute her for unlawful conduct on both cleaning outthe house and bank account? Please could someone help me with this awful situation, many thanks in advance guys.
  2. Here are the FACTS.......... For example if you took out an agreement for a Apple iPad here are the sums........ Over 104 wks Cash Price = £674.62 + 29% (189.62) = £864.24 + OSC = £465.92 + DLC = £199.68 Grand Total = £1,529.84 If you wanted to pay this off ONLY after the first quater has passed, 26 wks and by then you would have paid £382.46 @ 14.71 per wk you would pay £558.03 = £940.49!!!!!!!! As everyone has said before BrightHouse should come with a WARNING sign Hope this makes up your mind for the better.
  3. BH can not refuse to take any amount of money you offer them they are just bullying you to pay the late payment fees, stand your ground. As for them reposessing issue, renegadeimp is right......tell them to get lost and away from your property. You don't say if you have their silly OSC & DLC, if you have cancel them NOW and get reclaiming them both.
  4. Hi feedthefrog, You need to take a copy of the letter to your store as it's the store manager who authorises the removal of the OSC & DLC plus it will be done quicker as HO tend to misplace letters. Bessy4
  5. yep sure is OPTIONAL means OPTIONAL, you either want the service or you DO NOT OSC is BH biggest earner, get the useless thing removed and claim every penny back. There goes BH again with their bully boy tactics. Shame on you BH
  6. Ooooops sorry YES...... it is SUPPLY OF GOODS (IMPLIED TERMS) ACT 1973. NOT..... SALES OF GOODS ACT 1979. sorry
  7. Hi Johnpaul Cancel their useless covers NOW, you DO NOT need it. The only person to gain from these covers are Brighthouse. Send a letter giving them seven days notice, there is a very good template letter on the site for you to use. Then reclaim what you have paid in OSC. Your chair or any other goods you have with them are covered by "The Sales of Goods Act 1973" Stand your ground and do not let them intimidate you. Good Luck.
  8. Hi fabeo Like dx as asked you how old are the agreements? Can I just ask why did you ask BH to store the goods? was it purely to use the "Pick up and hold" service to give yourselves financial grace while you were moving. If you are fond of your goods never use the "pick up and hold". Sounds as though you have their useless OSC, cancel it NOW
  9. Eco Master rep came today as promissed and sofas have now bottoms on Just shows what YOU can achieve when the customer stands up for their rights
  10. thanks guys for your info much appreciated. Fairy Nuff I was informed that this was the email addy: Stepnen.Hester@rbs.co.uk Good Luck
  11. Hi guys Could anyone supply me with Stephen Hester's, NATWEST/RBS CEO e-mail address and address please. I have looked on the internet to find multiple ones for him so would like the "real" ones. Thanks Guys:-)
  12. Hi Sparks, I know exactly what you mean. Since my dissapointing shopping experience with Asda on line shopping I now have reverted back to Tesco on-line shopping and up to now I have had very good service from them and I am very pleased so I will be sticking with Tesco from now on Yes they sent me a generous voucher and a appologetic letter but that does not fix the obvious big problem Asda have got with their on-line shopping service including the customer service staff who clearly lack in......Customer Service.
  13. Just to update Eco Master (repair company) have phoned me to book a date, 26th Feb, to rectify these poorly made leather sofas. I shall be inspecting the work before they leave my house. Just waiting on the Ins reclaim now, then once paid my agreement off it's bye bye Brighthouse.
  14. I never Knew you Martin, you have left a big gap in every members heart. Gone forever but never forgotten. RIP X

    Bank Charges

Hi Just a bit of advice please.... In 2007 I was lucky enough to have all my bank charges refunded . Then from 2008 till 2011 I got into difficulty again with charges, so in 2011 I wrote to my bank and requested my charges to be reclaimed. Bank asked for relevant information so they could assess my hardship, I sent off lots of proof, ( my relative who works for the same bank helped me to colate the necessary info) she thought the info was enough!!!! How wrong she was, I got a letter from bank saying NO, as they said I was not in hardship according to the bank. So I just left it dumb of me I know, I was in the middle of my exams and stressed enough. So the question is now I have the strength could I take up the reclaiming of the charges again on the grounds of hardship. I am out of work and like lots of people, struggling to make ends meet. I am trying very hard not to incur charges now. any advice appreciated
  16. UPDATE My £125,39 was credited into my bank account on Friday after a week and a day!!! Also recieved a reply from Asda to my e-mail.........from Johnathon, Executive Relations Dept., saying,.... it was unacceptable that no one from ASDA did not contact me regarding my order not arriving and been "rejected" also taking the money out of my account. He also assured me that the lack of Customer Service from the Home Shopping dept will be investigated and I will be informed as soon as the full investigation has been carried out and his findings. Johnathon promised me a gift card to spend in store as I told him I will not be using Asda's on line home shopping service again, I have now reverted back to Tesco on line shopping. True to Johnathon's word I recieved by registered post my gift card yesterday morning Just hope that Asda get their on line Home Shopping Customer Services sorted out.
  17. Hi renegadeimp The updating of accounts occur every morning at approx 2.15am except for sunday & monday, and I'm sure this is the same for all customers, I know this as my relative is employed at Natwest. Like you I also have been a Nawtest customer for a good few years (1995), and my account has worked this way for as long as I can remender........If I had credits clearing on a monday it would be credited into my account on a saturday rather than the monday, I have checked this information with Natwest today and they have confimed this to me. Or maybe it's certain account statuses!!!!!! I'm only saying what I have been told by various people from natwest and they all say the same!!!!!!!
  18. Will never be shopping with Asda Home Shopping EVER
  19. Natwest work if there are any funds to be cleared on a monday they will clear them on a saturday (it's a policy) and they do not do any maintenance to your account until the Tuesday so no funds will be debited into my account now till at least Tuesday!!!! As for the chargeback Natwest are waiting for Asda to simply fax a letter so I was informed!!!!!! SO FED UP NOW
  20. Asda rang me yesterday to say me £125.39 would be back in my bank account today checked bank account and nothing rang natwest and adviser told me he couldnt see any credits pending that should be cleared in my account for next 5 days so Asda yet again as miss informed me getting quite fed up with their miss leading information just to fob me off and get off the phone. As I write this update I am YET AGAIN on the phone to ASDA on-line shopping in South Africa. HELP PLEASE ANYONE !!!
  21. Calmed down a bit now:| Have wrote a straight to the point and polite letter to Asda's CEO. Thanks guys for your help
  22. Hi Middx Yeah totally understand what you are saying. I am so hacked off with ASDA at the minute, I rang them this morning at 7.45 was on the phone listening to their music for 47 minutes, getting more angry by the second then a lady from home shopping said she would investigate and ring me back within the hour, she didnt, so rang back yet again I endured pain listening to yet more music for another 28 minutes so had to explain yet again to another lady who wanted me to ring my bank for a fax number and a allocated bank employee to recieve the fax told her my bank is 6 miles aay and its not very often I go there and dont know the staff names plus I certainly didnt know the fax number, she said " ok You ring natwest customer services for this info and I will call ypou back within the hour" guess what.......she never called me back, told her it would have to be within the hour as I had 2 appointments one being a root cannal and other a trip to the hospital to get a very suspicious mole removed, so Im not in the best of moods and drugged up!!!!! Just rang Asda customer service to give them the banks info and I had to repeat myself all over again as the poor man never had a clue what as going on, told him through gritted teeth Just refund my money by tomorrow morning or Im going to local paper and anuyone else I can think of......I am slowly loosing the will to live with these jokers
  23. HI MIDDXX Thank you so much for that info The way i am feeling with asda he will be getting it with both barrels. Asda's Home Shopping has to be the WORST I have experienced it is horrendous. and dont get me started on the "pickers" who pick the home shopping for you......... My xmas shop was a disaster I ordered Kiwi fruit and they sent me Kewi polish!!!!! and a block of soap for a block of butter also I ordered saugage rolls and they sent me a packet of raw sausages, to name but a few, I MEAN COME ON HAVE A WORD WITH YOUR STAFF ASDA. Home Shopping = Disasterous Asda staff (pickers) = nightmare and clueless Customer Services = Useless and no empathy Stop spending money on advertising and train your staff as you have just lost another valuable customer.
