  1. I think they would rather that than a democratic vote leading to the DUP meaningless as a political power and Ireland united in the EU.
  2. ,,As they are bending to breaking point the law to avoid an election in NI which could easily mean the DUP as a very minority party and strides toward a reunified (Federal) Ireland ..in the EU
  3. To easily export to who? Brits are mostly tightening their belts ... except those in the Porsche or foreign villa market .. or the move out of London market .. I get through quite a few peppers, and they are more expensive for less, with limited availability. Expect a run on them ... Caulies, Broccoli and cabbage seem OKish here so far
  4. Thats mainly jingoism with a few unassailable facts intended to mask that the situation hasnt really changed with Truss or Sunack IMO HB. Its not just the leaders who warrant no trust, despite Johnson being an extreme in the lying ****ards league. its the entire way the party is at the moment. I dont think anyone expects the current UK ruling party to honor any deals it makes.
  5. Worth a read on the NI issues https://link.news.inews.co.uk/view/61fb0feaaf01060b825d0999i89cp.i8a/a2531bd9
  6. a pretty picture for those who foolishly and very mistakenly think that current 'Global warming' is just a natural increase in the Suns output https://climate.nasa.gov/climate_resources/189/graphic-temperature-vs-solar-activity/
  7. Long past time the legally overdue elections in NI were held, and the DUP lose its position if it survives at all as a 'legitimate' power, rather than the Westminster poopulists again not meeting their commitments and requirements and batting the NI assembly elections into the long grass for a year. Its only by refusing constitutional rights, let alone common decency that these 'Tory **** are staying in power,
  8. "In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy.
  9. UK inflation falls from record highs driven by poopulist policies - to what would have been considered an extraordinary record high of 10.1%, 5x what was planned - the drop driven largely by other nations actions on world energy prices while the UK left the large energy companies to excess profit. ... so get ready for the poopulists claiming that they are heroes who have driven inflation down - without mentioning that its gone down a tiny fraction of what they drove it up.
  10. The utter definition of the rights 'blame others for not making our fantasies work' mentality "The move to electric cars is doing big damage to the UK car industry." Surely that should be: 'the Brexit and Climate denial policies I and the ERG have been such a part of driving and promoting "is doing big damage to the UK car industry, and the agricultural and fishing industries, and the manufacturing industries - Mind you, I moved chunks of my business to the EU unlike the suckers that listen to me. or even a far more practical and meaningful We need to press ahead with the UKs move to a hydrogen economy to begin to regain our place as a world leader before we are left too far behind in the drive for the future. - but of course, its doubtless he would be lying if he said that
  11. Aren't many of the farmers going bust thanks to Brexit and its broken promises? Let alone water quality and supply issues thanks to mismanagement, Global heating effects, Water company profiteering and waterways poisoning by the water companies (ignoring field fertilisation running off into rivers)? - Need to use the land for something. Aussies use solar to reduce land heating effect dont they - large arrays quite high mounted so animals can go underneath and theres an element of shading ... from sun in Aus and wind and rain here ...
  12. Disgraceful and disgusting, and the poopulists just try to kick it further into the long grass while the situation deteriorates rapidly on their watch. Britain’s regulators have little idea how much sewage is poured into rivers by water companies because of a lack of sensors, documents seen by i reveal. It follows the launch of a campaign, Save Britain’s Rivers, by i and sister publication New Scientist to rescue the country’s waterways from the effects of pollution. Britain's rivers are in a terrible state and will only get worse, according to the Government's own figures, with only 14 per cent classified as having a “good” ecological status by the Environment Agency. Government plans to set a deadline of 2050 to put an end to sewage being dumped in open waters in England and Wales are set to be challenged in the High Court. The plan had previously been heavily criticised by campaigners for setting a deadline of 2050 to end overflows. Click here to find out more about our Save Britain's Rivers campaign.
  13. I think Johnson will only push for 'en-noblement (sic) of Doris and the required doners .. as hes likely to need Doris' relatively safe seat to continue fleecing the UK population to support his expenses and self-political career Whole 'upper house is so compromised now it needs to be gone.
  14. perfect example. Take the money when they are already failing to deliver ... and just let the doodoo flow where it will The construction company would be required to enter the agreement - just like us. Sounds like extortion to me. Raw sewage from major HS2 site is being discharged into River Colne Raw sewage from a major HS2 construction site is being pumped into a green belt river after being sent to a failing Thames Water facility, i can reveal. Potentially millions of litres of polluted water from HS2 has entered the River Colne via a sewage treatment works, which was already suffering from storm discharges before Thames Water entered into agreement with the builders of the high speed railway. 15. Only the senior staff - apart from bonus' and dividends which should of course be company performance related .. and they should be in the water and sewage management business - not simple extortion - pay us or else business
  16. Just need to look at energy costs going up another 500 quid a year while the energy companies make not only record, bu obscene profits from it and water companies that do the same while literally pouring doodoo into our lives Does anyone actually think that the water companies should have anything other than frozen or reduced customer charges, and banned senior staff pay increases and all bonuses and dividends banned until they have AT LEAST brought the infrastructure up to a basically competent and working standard?
  17. February 11, 2023 i Money Grace Gausden Awful April is coming. Here's which of your bills will increase, and what you can do   Millions of households will see a number of their bills hiked in the month dubbed “Awful April”: council tax, mobile and broadband bills and prescription charges to name a few. There are things you can do to mitigate these increases, however. Follow the action plan below to get ahead of the problem – it will help you reduce some of the impact of the worst month in the year for your bank balance. Council tax Increase: Up to 15 per cent The increase will depend on where you live. In more normal times, councils can only increase bills by up to 5 per cent, unless there is a referendum, but a change was made last year so councils can raise bills higher. As a result, residents of Croydon have been told to expect an increase of as much as 15 per cent, adding around an extra £4.50 a week, or 63p a day, for the average property. Prescriptions Increase: 25p an item (possibly) It has not yet been revealed how much prescriptions will be increased by after the price was frozen in 2022 for the first time to help with the cost of living crisis. Mobile, TV and broadband bills Increase: Up to 17.3 per cent Mobile, TV and broadband bills increase every April with the majority of providers raising bills by the January reading of consumer price inflation (CPI) or retail price inflation (RPI) – while also adding up to 3.9 per cent on top of that for good measure. January’s CPI last month was 10.5 per cent and RPI was 13.4 per cent. When an additional 3.9 per cent is piled on, many could see bill increases of 17.3 per cent in April. Many consumers have their TV and broadband on the same package while others may even have their mobile with their same provider too. Water bills Increase: 7.5 per cent Water bills are seeing the biggest increase in 20 years in April with the annual bill for an average household in England and Wales hitting £448, according to Water UK. The average 7.5 per cent increase will mean customers will pay on average £31 more than last year. Energy bills Increase: £500 for the typical household (annually) The energy price guarantee, which the Government introduced last year in place of the price cap, is being increased from £2,500 to £3,000 from April 1. While prices for wholesale gas and electricity are now starting to come down, costs are still high. Most people are now on variable bills, which are capped by the guarantee, as fixed deals are more expensive than the cap.
  18. That they will highlight local services, with some funding routed anywhere but .. then claim its local services that are failing ... sounds about right Of course, some of the Tory Hamlets will undoubtedly do very well out of it .. Got a cold: Claim one of your 7 bedrooms as a hospital room with generous tax relief, and your neighbor (a Harley Street doctors 3rd home) can claim £1000 per hour from the NHS budget to come and treat you ...
  19. If Case/senior civil servants really didnt inform sunack - then thats actually a bigger issue for Sunack (Its not in HMRC's remit to do so - quite the opposite) Just a simple point (of many) re the NHS and ambulance service Under Labour A category 2 ambulance call target - under 18 minutes and mostly met and commonly exceeded Under conservatives When/if they get there, and we are planning to get someone from locally funded and sourced services to get to you at home sometime hopefully in a month or so after its implemented, which will be planned sometime in the coming months and years, and its already funded via routing loads more taxpayer money to our VIpals while cutting local service budgets
  20. Surely its also only a matter of time before its leaked/exposed that Sunak also new about zahawis tax issues? - destroying any Sunack claims of not knowing through simple incompetence/negligence on the matters. Jeremy K Hunt has also refused to simply state he has had no penalties from HMRC when pressed hasn't he? (An innocent person would surely just say NO and be proud)

  22. Actually I was and am entirely correct and your septic site and you are lying or very stupidly 'mistaken. The UK has NOT and is not banning boosters, they are simply to stop offering free access to them for some ( eg under 50 without underlying health issues) There are NO/none/zero countries that have banned boosters, let alone any 'latest' Your septic quack site and you are spinning lies as usual Even Fox news knows it U.K. to end COVID-19 boosters for people under 50: reports WWW.FOXNEWS.COM U.K. officials announced that it would stop offering COVID-19 booster... and the Covid vaccine is, as I previously stated, going to be rolled in with flu vaccination, with extra jabs for those at higher risk

  24. and on corrupt cronyism in politics The PM insisted on Monday that he had acted “pretty decisively” by sacking the Tory chairman for breaching the ministerial code over his tax affairs after little more than 6 months, being as repeated SLAPP type threats failed to cover it up as he vowed to restore “integrity in politics”.
  25. IMF warns UK economy is set for sharp contraction in ‘weakest performance among G7’ Britain’s economy will slam into reverse this year as the cost-of-living crisis hits households hard and will see the worst performance of all the advanced nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned. In its latest World Economic Outlook update, the IMF downgraded its UK gross domestic product (GDP) forecast once again, predicting a contraction of 0.6 per cent against the 0.3 per cent growth pencilled in last October as Britain looks set to suffer more than most from soaring inflation and higher interest rates. But it nudged up its outlook for UK growth in 2024 to 0.9 per cent, up from the 0.6 per cent expansion previously forecast. The grim outlook for the year ahead puts the UK far behind its counterparts in the G7 group of advanced nations and the only country – across advanced and emerging economies – expected by the IMF to suffer a year of declining GDP. UK economy to shrink worse than Russia, predicts IMF WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK The forecast leaves the UK economy languishing behind sanctions-hit Russia For others It upgraded its global growth forecast, to 2.9 per cent in 2023 from the 2.7 per cent predicted in October as it said the reopening of China after strict Covid restrictions has “paved the way for a faster-than-expected recovery”. The IMF also said it believes global inflation has passed its peak and will fall from 8.8 per cent last year to 6.6 per cent in 2023 and 4.3 per cent in 2024 as interest rate hikes by central banks begin to cool demand and slow price rises.
