  1. The amount you are claiming is the amount owed to you. There cannot be any fluctuation in this because, due to the nature of the claim, it is what it is. Money that is owed to you. If along the course of your action you decide to settle for a lesser amount, then that it is up to you, but this is usually done out of court, and in return for the legal action to be dropped. I hope this helps.
  2. Gordon, Good Luck, and keep us posted.

  13. From the few posts i've read about A&L they seem to take around the 3 week mark, however, like with all the banks at the moment, i would imagine that they are getting swamped with these requests and so may take longer. They have 40 days in which to comply, so until then, i'm afraid it's a waiting game! Good Luck
  14. Rich1971 Welcome to the forum (albeit a late welcome ) keep us posted how your case unfolds.
  15. FUZ - the Natwest Step Account allows you to set up DD and SO online (not sure about Bill Payments though). I have only just opened mine, but used to deal with them donkeys years ago, and have been the best bank i have used (don't mention this to anyone from the Natwest threads!!) Good Luck NeilP

  18. Good luck with your claim JulieR, & (albeit late) WELCOME to the forum! NeilP
  19. Boatgirl, You are able to claim for.... Bank Charges Overdraft Interest caused by the taking of these Bank Charges However, most people (i think) are not claiming for the additional OD interest as it is that money that is a reasonable cost for handling these 'occasions'. IMO, i would only claim for the charges. Neil.
  20. Natasha, If you have not received the information requested in your DPA request within the 40 days time frame, you need to take further action. I believe there are sticky threads about this, and loads of other threads from people in the same position as you. Please excuse my vagueness, but i have not been in that situation but know loads of people have been in this forum. Don't let Abbey grind you down to the point you give in...... keep going, if all else fails, I think that you can provide estimates for your preliminary and LBA letters, but do make sure that you clearly mark that the amount is an estimate. Good Luck Neil.
  21. You've got it in one! You set the terms to them. You have stated in your first letter that this is what you will do, it is up to them to ensure that they reply within the time frames that have been set. Go get em!!
  22. Just goes to show, that sometimes the banks can be reasonable......errrm i mean see the error of their ways!!!!! Congrats, keep us posted on your other claims. Neil.
  23. They must have run out of complaints leaflets with all these claims going on Good Luck.
