  1. I think your best bet is to ask the court; they should be pretty helpful as they are getting a bit peeved by LTSB and ****.
  2. You didn't used to drink in the Swan did you??
  3. I had a successful claim this month. I'm now after them for a further £395 which they took whilst the first claim was going through. At LBA stage now without any communication from them. Keep going after them.
  4. You can claim for O/D Excess Fees, O/D useage fees, Returned Direct Debits, Returned Cheques (I think that is it.) You can't claim for the Account Fee (currently £7.) You can claim for O/D interest, but it gets complicated. Sorry, can't help with the other questions. Good luck with you claim. BD
  5. Don't feel lonely we are all here to help. Have a look at this thread and see if it helps: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/lloyds-bank/102788-cardiff-hearings-14th-august.html If not then post back. I used to know a Wendil from west Wales. You haven't got any connections in the midlands have you?
  6. Yes send it now. Any chance of starting another thread under a new title such as psychic v Lloyds TSB? It's just that there are quite a few with the same thread title. If we know who you are we can focus on your specific issues. Does this make sense? It shouldn't be too much of a problem as you have only just started.
  7. Keep your chin up (literally ). Heard earlier that so far the sub-station is safe so hopefully they will be able to keep pumping water from somewhere. I do some work for Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue; they have been working flat out. The good news is that everywhere seems to be drying up around here but we are a fair few miles up stream from you. Hope the hair do was cosmetic and not a drastic way of avoiding washing it . If the water runs out then you'll have to drink everything neat!!
  8. You may be right. In the early days faxes seemed to work. But I think they have so much work they do just take their time. I was ignored right up to the point of sending them my bundle.
  9. Danny, you need to start your own thread then we can follow your progress and offer help when needed. To start a thread click on this link. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=11 You will find plenty of inspiration here. Give your thread a name like Danny v LTSB and then start posting questions.
  10. The LTSB payment centre is having to employ people on overtime from other departments (including their collection centre in Brighton). I had one call me about my mortgage arrears - I said you pay me and I'll pay you
  11. Don't worry. I added a charge of £60 which I later couldn't find. They still paid.
  12. Yes the £7 is a genuine account charge which you can't claim back. It should only come out once per month.
  13. You are not alone. No need for court bundle. Have a look at this post for further info. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/lloyds-bank/102788-cardiff-hearings-14th-august.html
  14. You do not have to agree to any of their terms; including how they pay you. Cross out the terms you do not agree with (including contacting your branch manager). Put a covering letter in requesting payment by cheque. In my experience they won't necessarily transfer money between accounts but they can. In my situation I was over my O/D on my business account but they didn't transfer money out of my personal account. However, they did take money to bring my credit card back below the credit limit. Hope this helps.
  15. They are completely snowed under with settlements. Have you started court proceedings? If so you should stick to the time scales set by the court just in case they don't settle.
  16. No harm in faxing them it keeps you at the top of the pile.
  17. Up to you but I would start it now. The court process can be quite slow because of all the claims going through.
  18. It wasn't a test case as it was held in the County Court. LTSB are a bit unpredictable on paying out - some are really fast others go all the way. Keep to your time scales and take them to court if necessary. You will win.
  19. You could all of moved to my house. But you haven't got the money at the moment . Stay safe and well. Off to bed now but will check the news and this site in the morning to see how you are. Night night. bd.
  20. Last time I saw this the advice was 3 weeks for reply. Try ringing or faxing them.
  21. Sorry Nightowl, misread the above post. Thought it was full of legal people. I'm out of the penal system now and, guess what, working in the health profession. Hope you stay safe and keep your power and water on - just watched BBC news and things are looking iffy. Thinking of you. bd.
  22. Well that was easy wasn't it . Couple of questions and a phone call - job done . WELL DONE MATE. You wouldn't have got through the midlands anyway - we are a bit wet at the moment.
  23. Oh no you mean I'm the only person called broke dave in the midlands . Just one thing though - Bank balance is no longer zero - CAG put that right
  24. Dee, Really sorry, but I've been out until now so have only just got your post. It looks brilliant to me so I hope you have sent it. Good luck, BD.
