Hi,

 

Just finished reading from post 1 on this tread:D

 

My partner remortgaged from Abbey a relatively small mortgage to Igroup a few years ago. He since sold up and paid it off.

 

Below is the devastating info -

 

Original 63k

 

Int. charged 4.3k

Early settlement charge 3k (6mths payments)

1 month's int. on balance 500

Discharge costs 120

Admin charge 260

 

I knew at the time this was extortionate :mad: :mad: but did not know something could be done about it until the penalty charges issue.

 

I have the redemption statement as well as the original agreements but I might have to SAR them.

 

I am dedicating my spare time to reading up exactly what can be claimed.

 

Thanks to Maybelline and others with such tips as claiming against the right co. name.;)

you might look at companies house register also to see what names come up.
