Basically one week I was pennyless so I missed a loan repayment and was charged roughly £30, even though the direct debit was only for £70. This then rolled over for a few months (probably 12) with me being charged £30 weekly. Is this possible to claim back from banks?

Thanks for the read

I would think so. The charges are still at an unlawfully high rate no matter where they are from.
