But unfortunately this letter also mentions in passing that the monthly cost of holding an additions account will now be increased to £14.50.

Sarah,

I got exactly the same informative:-o letter yesterday but they're going to charge me £11.50, is there something amiss here:?

Well, you see tigger26, you're not allowing for the fact that sarahwarren's account is closed! There's all the cost of having to re-open up the account specially, so they can apply the charge. And then all the cost of closing it down again!!

You're just not thinking like a banker are you tigger26?

Banks eh? If they were fictional you'd never believe it would you?

Hi Everyone! :D

Don't know if this has already been posted, ( apologies if so! ) but I am interested to see how you are all doing!

I was just wondering what the average time period you are getting between the filing of your allocation questionaire and actual court date you receive?

Also, trying to work out which courts are dealing with these claims quicker than others etc.....just being plain nosey really!!!! :p

Hope you are all plodding on.....nearly there now!!!!

Hi Sarah

I wonder if this might be a useful question to ask in the general forum, as other users apart from those on the Barclays forum may also have some useful information. Just a thought.

FYI I submitted an AQ 7/8/06

30 day stay granted (despite me not agreeing to it) 13/9/06

New AQ after stay submitted 27/10/06

Likely to be 5 weeks before the judge looks at it because Warwick Court are so far behind.

Court date - Who Knows?!!

Sarah. What I think Caro meant was that it is, in itself, a very interesting question that ALL users can taka look at (not just limited to Barclays) and maybe, from the responses received, we can see which of the banks settle the soonest, and which Courts are currently the quickest.

So there's no need to move the thread, just repost it as a new thread there.

To follow my case progress, click here to see where I'm at right now.

Hi Welshman! :)

I have pm'd caro and it's all sorted now, but thanks anyway!!!

Am posting same question on general forum later this evening.....I was just being nosey in regards to all the barclay's claims!!!!

Will be interesting to see how much variation there is between the different courts, don't you think?

Anyway, thanks again for reply,

Sarah

Hi Guys!

Sorry for absence....transferred internet porvider 2 weeks ago and it's still not sorted - nightmare time!

Some new news....

Latest offer from Barclays - £9,400+. ;)

However, my claim is for £9,707.75 - plus I have paid an extra £100 since to the courts.

Then there is further interest to be added on.

Within the offer, there is no mention of my defaults / negative info being removed from my credit files as I requested nor have they rectified any of the problems I have had with them.

Funniest part of offer - they want to make payment into my barclays account , which they closed themselves back in May.

Obviously, offer declined - awaiting response. ;)

Ooops!!!! :p

Forgot to add that that if I accepted that offer, I was expected to sign that I agreed to keep the offer and it's existence confidential. :-o

As I have not accepted their offer, I see no problem with including this on my thread! ;)

Think this may explain the limited number of successful Barclays claims on the site!!!! ;)

No confidentiality clause - payment by cheque. :-D

Offer rejected - witness statement handed in on 20th December 2006 as specified on court order. ;)

Barclays closed all accounts on 27th September ( despite still accepting my loan repayments in November!!!) and now taking me to court!!!

Will obviously be resisted in court! ;)

I was just wondering the other day how you were getting on Sarah. So you got judgment, but it hasn't been satisfied properly (or is it executed). I think you should ask the court for advice. Maybe you need a warrant of bailiffs to do it.

Ah, I've already had my first CAG birthday Sarah, but yes I can believe it's taken this long, despite dear Spicey getting your info in remarkably quick time.

How we miss him or we would if we'd really got rid of him. LOL;)

Everythings fine and Easter was good thanks. Hope all is well with you and business is booming. It should be when Barclays have the money wrenched from their grasp.

Let us know if the bailiffs are sent in, and we can see if the press will go and take photos or film it so we can all have a laugh.:D

We have a few contacts of our own on CAG, although I dare say Martin would love to oblige. We've been in the news quite a bit lately and have some excellent contacts. You may have spotted the claim won using our processes for £37,000 yesterday, and BankFodder and Robertxc are being asked to comment a lot on the BBC lately, especially since we helped them with the Whistleblower documentary.
