Didn't know where to post this, this forum seemed like best bet. A friend and I have been discussing his driving ban, 2 court appearances last year for a group of offences he committed, mainly no insurance, due to paperwork problems he had 2 hearings, 1 in may 06 which resulted in 8mth ban, and 1 in Aug 06 which resulted in 12mth ban, total of 15mths. He appealed the 2nd ban and lost, but now someone has told him he can apply to the court to have the 2nd ban reduced, would be v helpful for him as he is out of work due to the ban, not much call for a car valeter with no licence! Question is, does anyone know if this is true? And if it is, how would he go about it?

Doing a CBT is not an option as the disqualification is for all types of vehicles which you need a licence to drive. If he tries to book a CBT the first thing the authorised training body will do is ask to see his licence. If he can't produce one then it won't continue any further.
