Thanks for reply. Yes I have been reading and reading. I was reccomended to go on the Nationwide Site, but thought i'd start with a smaller one that I think

will be less of a fight. My Nationwide Trust problem.....I fear will be difficult;MY STORY

Nationwide have made my life hell for

> the past 5 years. I originally had my mortgage with Nationwide from 1997

> missed 1 payment of mortgage and about 5 years ago took out a loan for

> home improvements, this was paid regularly for two years. At this time I

> discovered my husband had got us into financial difficulties with credit

> cards and a secured loan. I tried to manage but ended up contacting

> debtline who referred me to Payplan to help, I kept in constant contact,

> letting them know what we were being advised and confirming in writing our

> offer to pay. The mortgage and secured loan took priority but regular

> monthly payments of a lesser amount were still being paid. The next I

The first reply for my husbands account has arrived. As many others, refused to refund saying that the charges are in line with their published tariff.

Prompt reply though!

I was very polite in the first letter, simply requesting the charges to be refunded. (i gave them the benefit of the doubt).

So now I send the next letter, telling them that I will take further action??????

The next step would be to send the LBA. There is a step-by-step guide in the FAQ section read through this thoroughly so you know exactly what to do - it is important to be well prepared as it may end up in court.

Now received 2nd reply, it was the usual one that most people seem to be getting "Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your a/c........................"

I have now sent the 3rd letter (deleting the default bit). I expect the next reply will be the standard, but who knows. Meanwhile the charges are still being added!

I will update as and when.

Bye for now

Do you know, I think i've got a bit mixed up because the last letter I sent was the LBA, I think i've sent them another! Ive been doing loads of paperwork, mounds of it and i've not been tooo good (full of a cold).

Do you think I will just get the same reply? What an idiot!

If you've sent the LBA the next step is to take them to court.

Good luck!
