just sent my 1st letter along with my list of charges, making a claim of £806 so fingers crossed

not scary at all as long as you do your homework first!! read all you can in the faq's and as many threads as you can - they are really helpful in learning different scenarios, timescales etc. you'll be fine x

14 days not working days, and HSBC have been known to close the odd account after the second or third claim against them but not on the first claim

may be advisable to open the parachute a/c just in case

 

nat west do a very basic no frills a/c - just a hole in the wall card and no overdraft facilities - but it's somewhere to go and takes 10 mins to set up online!

hi all, got my reply 2day, the standard i am investgating blah blah blah, do i send the next letter now or wait till the 14 days is up still?

just get it ready and date and post it 14 days from the first letter -

14 days is monday - bank hol. so post it tues.

also had my new bank account details for natwest 2day so least i have a parachute account now:D

yep so far, ideally they would have paid up after the first letter but also ideally id be married to elisha cuthbert from 24 so thats life i guess lol

ive not noticed tbh cos ive not had charges 4 a while. although i think im due some next week according to my online statements and i dunno what 4 as ive only been £2 overdrawn for like an hour last month lol

you can add on charges to your claim that have been actually charged (not just notified that they are going to be put on) right up until you file your claim. sometimes worth waiting a week or two to file the claim to pick up another scheduled charge.
