Thanks for the info I will put the complaint in, yes I have contacted the branch but found the whole experience a little surreal, the only offer I got was that I could apply for an electron card in the meantime !!

I think branches are far less use to us as customers now than just a few years back. There are few individuals, if any, that take responsibility and all the rules seems to be made by computer or Head Office.

 

Your complaint is valid as you've been within limits and had savings in the last 12 months apart from this one instance. You tried to forewarn them but they pulled the rug from under you instead.

 

Make short notes (if you've not already done so) of the converstaions you had at your branch and with Cust'r Svs including time and date to back up your complaint.

 

Deal with the new a/c first though.

Hi ,

 

I know this happened a while ago, this would just be barclays collections cancelling facilities. Its a risk prevention measure. Doesnt mean they want to close your account, they usually send out a new crad within 2 months of perfect use. Whenever a customer exceeds their od limit by a fair wack they get this.
