Got my list of transacs and charges:

What do you think these mean?

PRIN DR ADJ

INT ACCR CR ADJ

INT PAID CR ADJ

They were all on the same day and seem to have added £16.82 to my hubbys account.

Blooming hard work to decipher their list of transacs. I expect it is supposed to be!

One thing I noticed is on the balance they do not mention PPI but hubby paid it so the balance is always £3 or so out to make it doubly confusing!

Apparently (according to the BBA) the charges levied by the banks are fair and transparent.

You must be fick or somthink. ;-)

To answer your question, I have no idea, sorry.

Try giving them a ring and being stern about it until you get an answer.

INT ACCR CR ADJ

INT PAID CR ADJ

These two are accounting entries for interest accrued and paid - looks like they are adjusting your account and crediting interest back to your account i.e. paying you back.

The other one I'm not sure - a charge for printing statements maybe? Different banks use different accounting abbreviations, and this isn't a standard one.

P.S I am a chartered accountant, and I work for a bank! :-D
