I am curious to know if a bank will close an account of a customer who either sues and wins, or just threatens to sus and seetles out of court.

This is a possibility so I would follow the advice of the forum in opening a new account with a bank which does not have link to your existing bank ie if say you hold an account with say the halifax then dont hold an account with any members of HBOS as they may have the right of offset, this means that they could possibly recover any amount outstanding under an overdraft, unless they are subject of court procedings.
