I used Packlink with the intention of sending some jewellery, sold on eBay, by Royal Mail Special Delivery but the printed label and tracking details could not be scanned at the Post Office. Packlink state my issue is with Royal Mail to refund the cost of the label, and not themselves. Surely under the Consumer Rights Act they are liable as I bought the service from Packlink? I pointed this out to them but they keep replying that they do not deal with RM!!

Covid "pingdemic" and statutory sick pay
andyasw replied to andyasw's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Many thanks to Emmzzi for the link to Gov.uk which certainly clarifies my question - to me it feels as if the UK is about to grind to a halt with such huge numbers off work because they have been pinged, but I now realise it's the summer and many will simply take advantage of time off particularly if they are going to get something! -
Our property is currently listed with an agent at an amazingly low commission rate. They found a buyer but the property we wanted to buy fell through. If our buyers pull out because we are unable to find a suitable property in the current property climate and we ask to be remarketed with a higher selling price, is the contract with the agent still intact?

Care workers who refuse Covid vaccine
andyasw posted a topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Could care workers who refuse the vaccine face dismissal? Would employers have grounds to dismiss on the grounds that cared-for clients would be at risk? On a similar note, would a carer be acting within their rights to refuse to attend to a client who had not taken up the offer of a vaccine? Interesting times ahead?! -
I paid the deposit on a holiday park break by credit card, the balance being due in 10 days. The break is for late June this year. I have some doubts the park will be able to offer full access to their facilities to include entertainment centre, bar, swimming pools and restaurant given the effects of Covid 19. What should I be doing once the operator requests the balance and would appreciate your advice. Thank you in anticipation.

Just to let all or any interested parties know - my former employer agreed to settle in order to avoid a tribunal! -

Since my last post I am now in receipt of an ACAS certificate and am therefore able to apply to an ET for a hearing. I have consulted with employment lawyers who say I have a case for unauthorised deductions as a person covered under the Equality Act and that I should also claim for injury to feelingsfor the stress, anxiety and upset my employer has caused me during a period when I required support not punishment.
