sued employers please help!

please help

 

My partner recently claimed against hes previous employer for damages.

he was at work when he was hit onthe shoulder with a heavy door by another employee,this has been confirmed and the insurance company has accepted liability.

 

His recent visit to a specialist(for the insurance purpose) claimed there was permanant muscle damage and degradation to his shoulder muscle.

 

He has only had a part time job since(working on the computer in the house for my little bro at 3hrs a day)as he is on long term incapacity.

 

how much it the payment likely to be and how much should we hold out for?

I don't know, but I do know there is a very specific scale (someone told me the name, but I forgot) according to injury, possible sequels, etc...

I know a super personal injuries solicitor in london who is like a Rotweiler with these things.

I don't think that he could handle it long distance, though.

You could call Govan law centre - linked in helpful organisations onthis site.

 

Whatever, get yourself a specialist PI practiotioner and you will quadruple your damages.

Get a solicitor who specialises in Personal Injury claims. I contested the award for a back injury due to a rear car shunt and too a PI sol with me to the court and got 3 times as much as the original offer.

Before settling any accident claim you should try to ensure that medical evidence is in place and that the full facts are available for both sides to consider.

 

 

As you can see they say £3k for the collarbone injury, but we do not know the facts surrounding that injury.
