If they don't inform the court they wish to proceed before day 33 the claim is stayed and remains stayed until they decide if they wish to proceed which they can make application to lift the stay. Unless they serve a Notice of discontinuance the claim remains in abeyance.

I see. I don't see the purpose of sending this letter to us because it makes no difference to the outcome? By not discontinuing the case they can still apply to have the stay lifted after the 33 day mark. The letter has no effect on the deadlines nor the eventual outcome. If they are too busy to deal with, they still have the 33 days and don't need to inform us of anything.

well it is a ploy in a way or could be.

if you move and dont inform them and the court, then they could get a default judgement... hit backdoor ccj and read up.

Make sure you act as if the claim is ongoing.  They are charlatans.
