He carried out an engine change which started at £1895 then went to £2500 then an “electrical issue” so up to £3000. Got the car back, then within 300 miles the engine went bang in a big way pretty much blowing the crankshaft out of the sump.

Got the vehicle recovered back to him and that was 5 months ago. Excuse after excuse, blaming an electrical fault causing over fuelling which needed a new ECU @ £2500. Told him I wasn’t paying that, tried sourcing one myself and when I asked him to send me the details on the original ECU all of a sudden his “electricians” managed to get one and would sort it as “a favour.”

Then there was an issue with the wiring harness so that apparently needed sorting but they put a wrong connector on so had to go back.

Now the over fuelling is fine but all of a sudden it’s over revving so is sat with the “electricians” again.

Excuses with covid and being ill. It’s always the “electricians” fault and never anything to do with him. And again every time you call him out he’s on the defensive saying he’s doing me a favour.
