i'd have to look back - babs had it for awhile.

bet this one beats it now -

one other forums - bankfodder ran a contest offering a £100 prize for something and the idea was to run the longest thread - and probably still has the record.

bong's court letters probably got longest post.

but i think nets probably has the most posts.

me, i think i died - did you see my eulogy!!!!!!

nets, i'm trying to get this out - it is for when the acknowledgment arrives and peeps are going to send their breakdowns to the court and to dg.

for the one they are sending dg - IF they have claimed for overdraft interest by using the advanced s/s - they could use this for dg at the point of the acknowledgment:

DG Solicitors

12 Calthorpe Road

Edgbaston

Birmingham

B15 1QZ

Dear Sir,

(Your Name) -v- (Bank)

Claim No: ********

Date Issued: xx/xx/xx

Please find enclosed a copy of my schedule of charges relating to the above claim.

I understand you have a policy of initially rejecting claims for overdraft interest. However, should this be the case after you have reviewed my claim, you should be aware that my claim for overdraft interest has been meticulously calculated and double checked. It only ever relates to the cumulative charges within the overdrawn balance of the account at the point that the overdraft interest was debited.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Yours sincerely,

thanks, kiddo!

Edgbaston, is that where you are nettyg?

Wow what a small world, when I came back to England in November I rented a house in Olive Lane, Halesowen because my flat wasn't ready to move into in London. If only we had made contact b4 I could of met you for lunch and you could have filled me in on everything and all your knowledge. That would have been so nice.

mortgage arrangement fees are for a service and therefore can't be claimed back. as for credit cards, i'm about to embark on barclaycard and so far have no information whatsoever!! i'm going to jump over to their forum and start my homework!

If i've been helpful in any way....then tip my scales over there!

Sue there is nothing to be scared about, the process is straight forward and all laid out for you to follow here;

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/hsbc-bank/38807-newcomer-heres-user-guide.html

Any questions you have at any stage can be posted and you will get an answer from someone to point you in the right direction, non of us bite, well not each other anyway .

I would suggest you start your own thread or you will loose track of where you are and what people have told you.

Read the other threads because they will give you some great insight into how things work, HSBC's standard letter's and tactic's etc.

Good Luck with your claim, although you won’t need it if you follow the well worn path to where HSBC have kept your money all these years.

Could someone more knowledgeable post a link to the acceptance template letter, cant find it for the life of me...the one that says i reserve the right to tell everyone about my claim, etc etc.

Woop, finally.

:)
