I have a one account, and have this month gone overdrawn.

They are charging me £15 per item... i thought, perhaps, mistakenly, that these charges should now be an interest rate on the overdue amount.. (most banks are like 40 percent, on unauthorised overdrafts).

I dont see how they can say its not a bank account, when my salary, direct debits etc all come from it.. its the same as a bank account, just starts at a big minus amount..

anyone have an ideas...

I would never be placing any income in an A/C that can freely take charges whenever they felt like it

use a parachute account.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Well even if i used a different account to pay bills,, if i screw up and there isn't enough money in there, surely they would still hit me with fees?

urm..no

the idea of a parachute account, that no-one you owe money too can get their hands on by default penalty charges .....is NOT to setup ANY automictic withdrawals by ANY method..

you transfer out what you need when you need it to pay bills from your old account.

or

you simply use BACS to pay directly from your parachute account ,

if transfering it to the otherone would mean it gets swallowed by a debt sitting there which are from penalty charges ...that way doesn't give creditors any info.

NEVER EVER setup DD/SO's or CPA's on your parachute A/C.
