Greetings Consumer Action Group community. This is the Digital Engagement Team at the House of Commons. We work to engage online audiences with the work happening in the House of Commons, and wanted to let you know about an upcoming debate:

Next week, Martyn Day MP is leading a Parliamentary debate on consumer rights, and wants your experiences to inform it.

He wants to know:

  • What did you do when you were refused a refund?
  • Did you use an ombudsman or take legal action?
  • What support were you offered?
  • What would you do to improve consumer protection?

Martyn will press a Government minister for answers on how issues faced by consumers and retailers can be remedied appropriately, without the need for long and costly legal action.

The debate is scheduled for 11 February at 11am. Let us know about your experiences by midday on Monday 10 February for your chance to feed into it.

We will post links to watch the debate and read the transcript as soon as they are available.

Note:
Your name, and any information or opinions you provide, may be shared with Martyn Day MP and used in a parliamentary debate which will be on the record and available on Parliament TV and Hansard. Please ensure that you are happy with your comment before sharing.
