Hi

Quick question I have SAR'd an organisation for our details with a view to going after them legally.

Now it's an organisation whereby people are mostly volunteers except for the core staff who are employees and corporation is a charity, so I've sent the paperwork in, included a cheque and expect emails and all sorts back.

Now the higher up employed people have "proper" corporate email accounts whereas the volunteers have made up free accounts like localmanager@gmail.com. So would the DPA SAR cover these email accounts too? I'm sure we'll have been discussed on these accounts so do they have to provide these emails and if so how do I "make" them because without a corporate email its all very plausible deniability isn't it? As the data compliance team can say well we don't have access to that so nothing to do with us....

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sorry just realised I posted in legal forum & not dpa one, tried to delete but can't, would a mod mind moving if necessary, thank you

you wont ever get any data from email accounts that were not 'yours'

even if 'you' have been discussed in other peoples accounts

that's their pers emails nothing to/from 'you'

not how the sar works sadly.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

So corporate emails where you're discussed aren't covered?

Surely that's a huge hole just hide everything in emails and then there's nothing to show on a SAR

Corporate emails are covered.

Made up emails by volunteers are not.

So Jo.blogs@Britishgas.co.uk is covered.

Jo.blogs@aol.com is not.

It does beg the question tho of a charity, it sounds like a charity to.me anyways let volunteers make up emails. I would do a FOI if applicable on the rules within the corporation on this
