Just got it back everything seems OK said take it back Sunday so can check coolant and oil levels the lad that done it this time seemed OK and sounded like he new what he was doing. Did tell me he does all the servicing but that day he was off and the lad who done it shouldn't of done it, probably just a tyre fitter. Hopefully all is well engine sounds good.

If they have admitted it, you still should form a full complaint to their head office. In their own words, the guy shouldnt have touched your vehicle.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

Good luck getting a response from them. Phone the branch and get the Area Managers details - even so see my sorry saga below.

BISHOPBRIGGS STAFF RUDE & NASTY

I took the car in for a simple puncture repair to this branch. I wasn't told how much nor did I ask as, I assumed it would be about £10.

Got the phone call to say the job was done & it would be £25. I was a bit taken aback & when I got there, asked the chap why it was so expensive. He advised this was the normal price and I would have agreed to that when the car was brought in.

I advised him no price had been given, & after some flustered phoning said there had been a breakdown in communication, & there would be no charge. He thrust the keys in to my hand with a nasty attitude saying “take it”.

On going back to the car a fitter working on another car shouted over to my wife & I “thanks a lot - bye bye now - thank you” in an extremely sarcastic sneering manner.

Again as we were getting into the car he shouted the same comments again. We couldn’t believe what we had just heard & drove off.

Later completed Kwikfit’s webform with the above saga. Weeks passed with no-one taking the complaint on, I phoned their Area Manager Paul Taylor who was sympathetic and would investigate. Chased him up after 2 weeks - again said he would get back to me. Surprise surprise, after another 2 weeks no response.

What a mob.

Oh, and the puncture wasn’t even fixed properly - has been slowly deflating since.

costs £15 for a tyre repair at my local National Tyres and the people are nice. If you thought it would be a tenner how much do you think people get paid? VAT would be £2 of that. No wonder they wanted shot of you, manners are a two way street.

My local independent tyre centre charges £6 for a puncture repair.

It takes them not a second longer than 10 minutes and you'll be out of there.

That equates to £36/hour which is a reasonable price (half of main dealer.

They're always super busy, no wonder with their prices.

Mind you, I've never seen them issue a receipt, so i guess there's no vat to pay...
