2 million have registered to vote since the snap election was called and many of these are under 35 years of age.

If you have not registered to vote, why not do so, even if you have not decided who to vote for or whether it is worth it.

We keep seeing younger people complaining that older generations votes decide who wins elections and if they don't even register to vote or go to the polling station, then they can't affect the result.

Unhappy with Brexit, University tuitions fees, NHS, Schools etc. This is your chance to vote for a candidate/party that might support your opinion or is closest to it. Yes you might not agree with everything about a party or their leader, but think what they represent and does it match your values.

We could do with some help from you.

Good thread unclebulgaria 67.

I am very unhappy with some Conservative policies.I had better say others may be unhappy with other political parties,I do not want to appear biassed.

I just made this countdown clock.

The amount of people registering to vote is outstanding.

Does this mean anything do you think. I wonder if the site will crash. Here it is.

Register to vote, takes no time at all.

https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote?gclid=Cj0KEQjw9YTJBRD0vKClruOsuOwBEiQAGkQjP3-Ju94PAIwYKv_3e9aGQSU-sNnsgDqcNgoeF3rSuc0aAgOu8P8HAQ

Last night I read that the Lead the Conservatives have has halved in a week.

Anyway the countdown clock.

Deadline To Register To Vote For The General Election On The 8th June 2017-Get in There Make Your Vote Count.

Fully agree.

In my street there are 22 houses. In the last local elections myself, wife and a neighbour were the only ones who voted. In the last general election I believe four bothered to vote. Yet when I am out walking the dog I come across people bitching about the local council or our current moron of an MP who is rarely seen in the constituency and does not live within it. Ask these characters if they voted - response waste of time or couldn't be bothered. To my mind they deserve all they get if they cannot exercise their democratic rights for which millions died in two world wars.

Hardly anybody reads the election manifestos and sadly most base their votes on media headlines.

If the Daily Fun claimed that Jeremy Corbyn ate Hamsters for breakfast, i am sure that a percentage would be willing to believe it, checking his beard for trapped Hamster fur.

People need to really think about why political parties follow certain policies and then decide whether they like it or not. A hard brexit might lead to reduced business taxes, but increased costs of living for most people, without any advantage e.g better pensions. NHS not getting the funds it needs, councils reducing services.

Personally, i always hope that no party has a majority and we end up with it being difficult for one party to do what they want.

We could do with some help from you.

I agree with you - It makes me so angry when people who haven't voted feel they have a right to complain !!
