Hello folks and thanks guys for a great site - about 100 of my uni friends should be accessing this site soon!!!

Can anyone (Mods more specifically) advise me on what the second letter should contain. There is a lot to take in and I just don't want to mess up. I am sending the letter before action as HSBC have not replied to my intial letter. I sent the spreadsheet with all costs - but no interest added in. Do I send that with this second letter? And anything else included within the letter before action I should not miss out on?

Thanks again.

its the county court interest that you shouldn't be claiming until you make your court claim. you can claim part of the overdraft interest if it was caused by the charges.

I was a student so alot of it happened while in an interest free over draft!!! But the bigger charges occured when it has had interest!!!

no, you would need to send it with the spreadsheet I mentioned before if you want to claim back the overdraft interest.

Im confused - above I was told specifically NOT to claim back the interest in the letter before court action!!!

You can reclaim the interest you were charged as a result of the charges. It's the 8% interest that you only claim when filing at court.

SO can I know the exact spreadsheet I need to use please as I am sending it today - I only sent the total cost with my intial letter as I thought that was the correct process. I would like to get it right on life two!!! thanks again guys.
