Hi Guys

Can someone remind me the rules on charge back in relation to MAstercard and Capital One?

Wont classify under Section 75 due to amount (£81)

Arent you supposed to get a full and immediate refund while they do the investigation?

I thought the FCA set out rules in relation to this?

We could do with some help from you.

Hi

in relation to the RP, this forum has no twitter link for Cap1 or Mastercard. The links are in the dedicated forum.

Chargeback rules differ from bank to bank as they are generally voluntary.

This link is quite interesting.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I've just done a chargeback with John Lewis. Whilst there was no immediate refund, they allowed me to reduce the credit card payment by that amount and not charge interest on it while they investigated it.

Interestingly, although they have now said that the charge has been returned to the merchants bank and a credit will appear on my next statement, they then go on to say " If our claim is unsuccessful, we will contact you again. This may result in the above transaction being re-debited to your account"

They'd better not or it's off to the Financial Ombudsman
