1stC - "Hi There, Is that Fkofilee?"

Me - "Yes, Who is calling..."

1stC - "This is 1st Credit"

Me - "Im sorry... I dont deal with DCA's over the phone"

1stC - "No no no, dont worry we arent chasing you for an account."

Me - "So why are you contacting me then"

1stC - "Well - We found your CV on Reed"

Me - "Oh... You want me to come work for you?"

1stC - "We'd like to know if you'd be interested in an interview with us as we see you are local?"

Me - "Erm.... No Thank you"

1stC - "Why is that?"

Me - "Well I know who you are, I know what you do, I have also seen the trail of destruction you cause. Id like to add I dont want to work for a collection firm that has been sanctioned by the OFT"

1stC - "Okay well I think you have the wrong company" (Really?)

Me - "I dont think I do, Goodbye"

I am really not surprised at all... Looks like the monkeys have wised up :p

Consequently I did later receive an email apologising that they wouldnt bother me again...

We could do with some help from you.

Well obviously the caller wasn't aware of the history of their own company if they weren't aware of the OFT sanction !

You could have asked if there was a vacancy within their Ethics department ..:peace:

Conniff, I agree, but heres the thing, I enjoy my tech support helpdesk roles, I wouldnt ever trade them in for a Collections position...

Sorry, when they mentioned CV online, something said you might be looking for work.

You stick with what you enjoy, there are lots out there who are enduring jobs they hate for the sake of the family.

Yes of course however remember, theres lots of tech support positions, hence why Im looking :) ,

And yes, they do it because their family means the world to them. Im quite lucky that its just me and I dont have to provide for anyone else, but I respect all those people who do the above.
