I have a credit card with cahoot,

which I am trying to repay.

A financial company managed to freeze the interests and now I just repay the palance slowly as

im unemployed.

I have been quite unhappy with them as I have never received and letters from them more than

10 years I have been banking with them,

even dealing with repayments myself now, I try and call them and nobody seems to be able to help as

they have been bought by santander and have limited staff! I would really like to get this £5000 written off, any ideas?

Do you own your own home ?

If so, it is most unlikely they will write the debt off. If you don't have any assets, then you might consider sending them the letter from the following link.

Are there any charges or is there any mis sold PPI you could reclaim in order to reduce the outstanding balance ?

I dont own a home,

also it is true that my health is very bad right now,

and I am being seen by psychologists and psychiatrists as I was

looking into ending my life from stress. of course I am

unemployed at the moment as my doctors have signed

me off from searching for work due to my health....

Does this letter really work?

I would imagine they factor in all kinds of things. When was the agreement first entered into - how much is owed - how long after you took out the agreement did you have the financial hiccup - how long is it likely to last ?

You don't own your own home, so there is little point in them trying to obtain a charging order. You aren't working, so an attachment of earnings is out of the question.

Your health is poor so you are unlikely to be working any time soon.

I understand lenders have written off debts where this no hope of every recouping their money.

I see no harm in trying, do you ?

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
