Hi there.

Problem with the washing Machine I bought last september.

A month after purchase it caught fire, so I arranged for them to replace it. Argos were nice and helpful, no problems their end.

Today the replacement has gone faulty, and now I am having trouble.

First they are trying to foist me off onto hoover(I have no contract with Hoover) and then they tell me the Engineer cannot come for a week.

What do I do to resolve this? Contact head Office?

can try that, see if the engineer visit can be speeded up. maybe another replacement, or refund. is there perhaps something inherent with the model?

whilst argos are required to deal, sometimes going to the manufacturer can be better. check first the hoover site re their policy on faults/warranty etc. maybe depends what you're looking for, repair, replacement, refund...

IMO

had a quick look at hoover site

they say appointments within 2 days, and there is a warranty tel number.

depends what you're after, repair, replacement, refund?

also note consumer rights re soga.

IMO
