White Screen

Hi

me again!

 

Ok here goes, my computer is Packard Bell with windows 8 installed, had it prob over a year now but last few days it has seemed slow, unresponsive, and giving me a white screen when I go onto different sites, also I get in the top left corner a colour bit ( like on a tv when the signal is bad, if that makes sense )

 

I have done all the normal checks and it is showing no issues/bugs/virus etc, I have Avira . I cleared all history and done what I can with checks etc but am at a loss now, I am no expert

Which browser are you using Snow?

Sounds like the settings for your browser are not allowing the full data to load.. I think you should download another bowser and give it a go. If you can use other software like a game ok, then it must be to do with the browser.

 

I like Firefox but cannot use it on iPad. Try the Opera browser as that works well

I use chrome, I can play games and read mail but like said so slow etc

I can't use chrome with windows 8. Never have been able to. I think it's a known problem.

I use Chrome as it seems to work better with games on Facebook ( not as I play them much on there ) some games do not work with Firefox and I have never tried the Opera browser

You could try Vivaldi, created by some of the Opera team.

I need to do something as it is still doing it and not not really fancy doing a reset

maybe, if you're not going to try the suggested fixes. have you updated it since last time?

 

i mainly use fox (customised), with (almost) no probs.

I use torch browser, it is pretty much the same as chrome, but works great with windows 8

was just suggesting, if not pc sav and cant try those fixes, then just go with another browser for now.
