Thought I would let you all know that despite paying over £2000 and still owing £730 Wonga have written off my debt and refunded me a total of £9.41 !!!

Their accountants must be working backward figures to come up with the sums that they do - they don't take ANY payments into account with a write-off, it doesn't pay them to do so. This whole scenario where THEY control the refunds should be looked at, an independent company should be set up to control ALL types of financial refunds, NOT connected to the banks.

hi bubbles, is the refund related to irresponsible lending? If so, put a formal complaint in and escalate to FOS - this costs Wonga a sunstantial amount for each case and despite the FOS being a bit of a weird system, utlimately it will bring about some change if enough people do it
