Need a little advise RE: MKDP/ Nationwide

Hello.

 

I need a little advice. MKDP are pursuing me for an account I disputed a long time ago.

 

Nationwide sold this debt onto MKDP.

 

 

It's for £210.00 all of which is charged that I disputed with Nationwide at the time.

 

 

I was on benefits due to ill health and in receipt of dla and incapacity benefit.

 

I felt at the time these charges were excessive and they caused me some serious financial issues at the time.

 

I decided to open a new account as I couldn't afford to cover the charges as Nationwide refused to refund,

each of which were £30 a pop and most amounted as a result of one issue.

 

MKDP are not hassling me.

 

 

I have said in writing that I will not discuss until they prove I owe this money,

how the amount reached is as they say and

that they are lawfully allowed to collect this debt.

 

 

I have no paper work until they responded with some statements which do not add up.

 

 

I have replied stating they have not filial filled me request fully.

 

I really feel these charges are unfair, I feel very strongly about it.

 

 

I am worried as I have MKDP taking me to court and I really do not want another court battle on my hands.

 

 

I am looking for some advice on how to deal with this as I'm not quite sure what I am doing, but I do believe this is very wrong.

You say that it was a long time ago - how long?

 

They are taking you to court??? Have they issued you with a claim form?

I don't have a claim for this issue no.

 

I think this is 2007-09 ish

Anyone? Could do with a bit of direction on how to handle this correctly.
