Hi Dot,

 

Is there any reason for not using the template letter in the Library - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?405889-Reclaiming-Credit-Card-Charges-Preliminary-Letter-Before-Action It's a bit more direct.

 

You can, of course, include reference to the Sempra Metals case but, at this stage, I would keep the letter as simple and direct as possible, bearing in mind that the bank will refuse to refund at this stage.
