I notice that nearly all newspapers and media outlets are saying:

 

"hfc put him on the credit blacklist for several years"

 

I thought there was no such thing so why does the mainstream media spread this myth.?

 

It is black listing in all but name, isnt it ?

Under section 32 of the Act, the strict limitation period can be disapplied.You can apply to extend the limitation period in order to bring a libel claim against the respondents....not that it is required in this particular case.
