Hi

I recently had a credit made by an online retailer to a credit card that has been in dispute for a year. Would this reset the SB click or should it be returned as the account has been terminated after a DN

Any opinion I give is from personal experience .

This is a little puzzling - if an account has been terminated, there is no account to refund to!!

That was my thought. They cancelled the card and sent me a notice of termination notice. Will they return the refund to the online retailer or will they match it to the account.

The purchase was made a while ago but the refund sent after a protracted dispute over quality. In the meantime the account was defaulted and terminated.

TBH, I really dont know. IMHO, it should be treated as part of the original transaction if they were to allow it to be refunded to the card - in which case it shouldnt affect the statute barred timeline.

  • 1 year later...

Well I have just had a call from clear view finance from someone who claimed to have gone to school in this town although he most definitely didn't have an 'inckley accent.

Anyway this guy then went on to lie to me saying that defaulted accounts would stay on my credit file forever and tried the " I know , I have been doing this job for years"

Any thoughts on what if anything would be the best response to drop them in it?

Any opinion I give is from personal experience .

Shame you didn't record it, I would have loved to hear it :-P

I would do some checking out on this company and see what you can find out.

We could do with some help from you.

Supposedly a legit DMC complete with CCL .

So the stupid arse said to me, so if I borrowed 50K and didn't repay it I could then borrow 50K in 6 years time is that right?

I even told him I could show him a credit report from 2 years ago and a current one that had defaults coming off after 6 years. Thing is for someone who really is in a can't pay position that sort of attitude could be really worrying. Me, well i am long past the worry stage, what's the worst they can do?

Any opinion I give is from personal experience .
