Good morning ihaveaproblem.

Welcome to the CAG.

Have a look at this for the payday loans.

Need help with your payday loanlink3.gif?

Visit the payday loan pages on Adviceguide.

Call our consumer helpline 08454 04 05 06

You can contact Citizens Advice consumer service by phone or on-line if you need further help with a consumer problem. Alternatively you can get advice from your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

Want to make a complaint?

Use our simple tool to check whether you have grounds for complaint.

Find out more about our campaign activities on payday loans:

And of course.Mike Daillys Payday Loan Survival Guide.

The advice is in the guides.

But a letter to take to take to your bank to cancel the Continuous Payment Authorities

letter - either hand in to the bank in person (take another copy along and get them to sign to say they've received a copy) or send by recorded delivery.

Credit to Ell-enn for this.

Maybe best to do at the moment.

Till the payday loan problem is sorted out.

I can not help you with your gambling problem.

Maybe you feel you need help for the gambling,or to talk to someone-link below.

http://www.gamcare.org.uk/

I understand compulsive urges. But it is where things can lead to that is the problem.

And somewhere to go for advice, online or other ways.

It may be best to have a word with your other half.

Tell him about the problem you have had.

What else can you do.

But to come clean.

As it is a joint account, sooner or later it will come out anyway.

I would understand and be happy you told me if it was me.

Maybe stunned for a moment but would understand why.

I would go through it with you.Help you.

Even take you out for some fish and chips or similar,to talk about things.

The rent problem has to be discussed, maybe by making a arrangement with the landlord.

Is it a week or a month you now owe.

Got your whole lives together.Secrets like this are best out in the open..

A lot to take in all at once.

Best wishes Tawnyowl

Honey, I've done the same myself a few years ago. The best advice I can give you is check out gamblers anonymous. They will help you with your gambling issues.

Be honest with your other half. He will rant & rave & be angry. He loves you. He will be the rock you need to get through this. And you will get through this. Believe me, believe in yourself & believe in your partner. I managed to tell mine & he's a scary bleeder when he gets going!

Hey ihaveaproblem,

Your not the first and won't be the last to fall foul of this trap I.e gambling and payday loans.

One thing you have to remember is you can get over this and move on with life. You've been honest with yourself regards the gambling. I know it's hard to tell a loved one about your gambling but lets be honest your not going to feel any worse than you already do. It can be the start of the healing.

If your gambling online then I'd advise K9 software and have your oh or friend put in the password and email address that stops any temptation.

A favourite free book that I read is

http://www.wanttostopgambling.com/info2.cfm?info_id=21945

Lots of great advice.

The money is lost there is nothing that can be done about that but your life will improve immeasurably if you work hard at not gambling and the debt will be cleared in time trust me I've been there.

I'm no counsellor, just someone that knows what your going through.

Good luck
