I haven't called anyone a liar and if it comes across that way then so be it. As stated it was not my intention to offend anyone I did back up my opinion with statements from companies regarding credit reporting, not sure why anyone would have such a problem with anything I've said. And I did ask for a copy of the email he sent so I could use it as well

I'd love it if you were right but I'm entitled to my opinion. I've had loans with me lender and there's you mentioned repost a copy of your letter / email you sent I will send it word for word and if I get the foot print removed I will post an apology in capital letters on its own thread I have my doubts that's all

Hi Rodgerramjet, Further to your email on 8th August 2013, we can confirm that the way we report is in line with our legal and regulatory requirements. We pride ourselves on being a responsible lender, which requires us to report accurate information to the credit reference agencies. This means accurately reporting every loan application, settled loan and, in some cases, issues with an account. We also pride ourselves on being a responsible and transparent lender. Our privacy policy and website describe how each loan (original loan and new loans) is subject to a credit check. Reporting will be made in respect of each loan as well. We hope this has clearly set out what and how we report to the credit reference agencies. As described in our complaints procedure, this will be our final response. If you’re unhappy with it, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. You need to do this within 6 months from the date of this letter. For more information, please visit http://financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/consumer-leaflet.htm The address of the Financial Ombudsman Service is: South Quay Plaza 183 Marsh Wall London E14 9SR

Hey ihaveaproblem, Your not the first and won't be the last to fall foul of this trap I.e gambling and payday loans. One thing you have to remember is you can get over this and move on with life. You've been honest with yourself regards the gambling. I know it's hard to tell a loved one about your gambling but lets be honest your not going to feel any worse than you already do. It can be the start of the healing. If your gambling online then I'd advise K9 software and have your oh or friend put in the password and email address that stops any temptation. A favourite free book that I read is http://www.wanttostopgambling.com/info2.cfm?info_id=21945 Lots of great advice. The money is lost there is nothing that can be done about that but your life will improve immeasurably if you work hard at not gambling and the debt will be cleared in time trust me I've been there. I'm no counsellor, just someone that knows what your going through. Good luck

Good luck PDL victim, keep us up to date with how you are getting on. I am writing up my compaints just now, I will go straight to the FOS regarding complaints about inadequate affordability checks being carried out before any money was lent to me (please dont anyone reading this think i excuse my own part in the mess) and try and get back some of the interest and charges that way. With regards to the CRAs I know the PDL companies didnt log any information with equifax. The information was logged with call credit and experian. I still think that the data should be removed as the PDL companies did not inform me that once the credit agreement was signed that information would be passed to the CRAs and marked as an "advance against wage" and that this is treated differently to a loan from say a high street bank. I have yet to see anywhere in all the Ts&Cs i have reviewed where this is stated, its not even in the adequate information documents that PDLs now provide to borrowers. All marketing apart from wage advance is that the item they are selling is a "short term loan" I contacted the ICO to see if they had any opinion on this and all I got was to complain to the lender and if no response was recieved then send in a complaint and they will review it.

Payday loan accounts & credit rating

I've been thinking more about this and peachy advertise in there website that they offer short term loans, yet in the t&c s it talks about an advance. Now like many folk and specially on the downward spiral of PDLs I never thought to check how the loan would be described as in the terms and conditions. Neither was it stated up front that the loan was classed as an advance and would be reported to CRAs as such. Surely that's devious if not blatant lying about things. This might be how I choose to fight this. Any thoughts ? -
Payday loan accounts & credit rating

Fascinating reading this thread. I've paid back all the loans but would love to see them removed. Is it not correct that you can dispute the information on your report with the CRA and if the company don't respond within 28 days the information is suppressed ? That being the case how likely are PDL companies to follow up on a dispute raised by say experian? and if they don't then voi la information gone from credit file. Fanciful thinking maybe but worth a shot. I was never advised that they would trash my file. All my nightmares were paid in full and I sent letters about how I'd never use them again and if my details did come across there systems it was more than likely fraud and they wouldn't get a penny out of me. Nothing to lose so going to chance it. -
Well I phoned the ombudsman regarding the complaint, my point is that no reasonable affordability checks were carried out. Ombudsman has said that they WILL contact the company's on my behalf all need to do is give them my details, the loan company details and a reference number the company can track my history via. Unexpected that they would help so quickly and forward the complaint on my behalf. They said if it was rejected then they would initiate a full complaint. Will keep you posted.

Hi, On my bank statement I have transactions to Cash on go Pacific network se Compucredit Any ideas who they are,

Reading this has changed my mind about complaining to the FOS. Had any reasonable checks been done lenders would have seen how unmanageable the situation had become. I've downloaded all transactions from my bank and will send this the complaint and see where it goes. I don't excuse my part in the mess but the lender plays their part too. We shall see. I hope it goes my way. Wonder if that's why some lenders have gone out the market so they don't have to pay anything back

If I'm honest I wouldn't get hung up on blaming the banks that gave you loans, you have enough to contend with. Not saying they were right but it won't get rid of the debt. If your gambling is done online I suggest you download K9 software, install it, block gambling sites and have a friend put in the administrator password linked to their email. That will help you in the long run. Stay positive, you can fix the problems it will just take time.
