Hello All,

Do we have a Mis-Sold Mortgages Forum?? or does it come under the umbrella of PPI mis-selling.

All advice/info will be as usual gratefully received.

I think this could be something we are going to need so am raising the issue with admin.

Suggest that you start your threads or asked for them to be moved to Mortgages and Secured loans for the moment. If there is sufficient call for mis sold mortgages then it will be easy enough to set it up and transfer any threads.

Well this post seems to have stirred the hornets nest.

I was approached by a very very close friend, who had been targeted by a claims company re a scenario of a mis-sold mortgage, they would according to him only charge 20% of any monies received in compensation etc. I of course told him in no uncertain terms are you extracting the water, going to an unsolicited claims company with the expertise and knowledge of the CAG at our fingertips.

I have knowledge of the re-claiming of PPI/LPI but none for the if any, grounds for the re-claiming of a mis-sold mortgages.

Hence my thread starter at #1

In fact we have an ongoing claim re mis-selling of PPI which has been ongoing for many many months, the FOS are absolutely overrun with claims and are progressing it very very slowly, thankfully we are hopefully in the latter stages of the claim.

All advice/info will of course be gratefully received.

FCA don't seem to think it's too much of a problem or the FCA. I'm not convinced but for now I agree with citizenb that the mortgages and secured loans forum is most appropriate. We can always review this later if necessary. :-)
