Hi Guys,

Been a while since I've been on, and I'm now payday loan free, thank god. But I've had a text message to an old phone that I needed to power up to get a number, from Express finance saying that I'm due to repay two payments on the 8th of August 2013 for 170.00. I'm not sure who they are, the text has no name on it, its starts with Hi! I borrowed from Payday Express before, but this was one mob that I paid off! And I've checked back records, and they were paid in full over a year ago, and I've had no communication from them since. I'm assuming I've got the right company, and it offers a call if I text them back. Don't want to do that, so can anyone offer their thoughts on what to do or not to do. My debit card details won't be on their system, as I cancelled my card when I got into bother.

Thanks

Only deal with it if it gets put in a letter or email. Not a text.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

I had a couple of things like this before, I emailed back some obliterating text and they apologised and said it was an accident... or was it a scare tactic?

Should be locked up like any other criminals

Hi Guys, REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. After receiving the text message as mentioned in my original post, nothing else has happened, no letters, phonecalls or emails, until now. I've just had a sms sent to my works number with no name and to call someone urgently regarding an outstanding loan. Its my direct number, so it isn't for anyone else. The message was so quick that i couldn't jot down any numbers etc. I'm frantic, i could lose my job if this keeps happening. What do i do. nIt was another company not express finance. The number was 014 something.

Grumpy,

Have they sent you anything in writing? If not, log everything, do not delete anything. Payday express have just started call ****ming (my emphasis) in that they're using different numbers to hope you pick up. Have you sent a complaint telling them not to contact you at work? If not, get one off immediately to both payday express and the oft. Payday express will try to ignore your complain't, don't be fobbed off. You will get there in the end, they're just horrible at complaint management.

Thanks for replying Toptrapper. I have had no Communication from payday express in over a year. When no one got back to me, I made a phonecall to express finance. They couldn"t discuss my account and gave me a number to phone, saying it was payday express, but it was a company called credit resolutions I think. The guy was very helpful, and he explained I owed them 77 pounds, but the text said 170 pounds. I told him i'd had no communication from payday express, and he was a bit taken aback and told me they said I wasn't paying an outstanding debt, and I said I didn't owe them anything. He took my works number of their system and said he would only contact me by email. Once he has investigated what's going on, as I was quite upset. Haven't heard anything as yet, any suggestions?
