Missing creditors on file - Aktiv threatening Bankruptcy

Hi.

I have just received an online credit report from Checkmyfile and there seems to be loads of creditors missing.

Could anyone give me any reasons why this could be?

The reason I have done a credit check is that Aktiv crapital have been chasing a debt.

Any help would be appreciated.

If 6 years has passed from the date of default, then they would fall off your credit file.

 

When was the last time you made payment to the accounts ?

Not sure.

Was paying through a DMC but they where useless,so stopped paying anyone.

Any ideas how I could find out?

Not 6years I don't think.

Have had contact with Aktiv recently but can't see the original debt from egg.

Just wanted a full list of my debts and who I owed what too.

Not any clearer with my credit file.

So the debt that Aktiv are contacting you about is an ex EGG account ?

 

I think the only way you are going to find anything out is to send a Subject Access Request to EGG - that will identify when the last payment was made and when the account was sold to Aktiv. Aktiv can only update the credit files, they cannot change the original default date.

 

Did you not receive a Notice of Assignment from either Aktiv or EGG ?

I could ask for a SAR but know this takes time and I have been threatened with bankruptcy by Aktivs solicitors.

I will move your thread to the Debt Collection forums, I think that you might receive more visitors and advice there. You do not have to do anything, it is purely an administrative move.

Hi Kimberley,

 

Checkmyfile uses 2nd hand data from the 3 main CRAs, I would suggest that you check Equifax and or Experian(Credit Expert) in case CMF is not showing up to date information.
