ive had another one saying they have "escalated to the resolution team". Ill ring the fos in the morning, although I cant see them doing much.

Just got this: ( they have completely ignored the complaint about the email demanding payment):

 

We regret to inform you that we are declining your request to delete your customer account records from our system for the following reasons:

 

• The data was processed correctly with regards to the UK Data Protection Act of 1988 and within the terms of our Privacy Policy.

• Record retention obligations under the UK Money Laundering regulations dictate that we store your data for five years from date of processing.

 

We respect your wish to keep your data private and will not release or disclose your personal information to any outside entity.

 

If you still have concerns in regards to how your complaint was resolved, you may refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months from 09 09 2013.

Get the FOS involved. Theyve basically given you their final response. I would also get the OFT and FCA involved here as i guarantee that you arent the only person they are doing this too.

I pointed out to them I am not a customer etc got this back (still ignoring the email complaint)

How do I involve the fca? I had a mooch on the site and couldn't find a contact us, unless I'm being really simple?!

Theyre trying to shrug it off. You still need to make full complaints to the regulators. They seem to be doing this a lot, as do other PDL's, then when they are called out on it, they say "oops, sorry admin error" and try to brush it under the carpet.

Aye, I've told them in not going away. Similar issue with wonga. I was a customer of theirs but I assume that's irrelevant.

complaint started with the FOS. THey said to me on the phone "we are aware of the email, it was just a mistake.." mmm not good enough FOS
