Debit is taken direct from your bank, credit is as it says, credit. It doesnt make any real difference, it's just their processing merchant needs to know, so they can authorise it.

That's very odd the only reason I know for a debit card being refused is if it is NOT registered to the address entered when ordering the report.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.

Maybe its cos its visa electron! All bank cards i have are all registered to my address so also baffles me!!

Possibly yes but I think it's worth challenging this as Electron is Visa backed.

well i just tried using my debit card and it was accepted. score is 266 and main thing on it is my default from jan 2009. :/ can late payment markers that werent my fault be challenged, and also would removing them have any effect on my score...cos i once ordered a contract fone off vodafone then changed my mind, returned phone and got it all bk well before the ' cooling off' period but they didnt cancel it and chased me for months...took me months of calls, emails and livechat sessions to finally sort it out. the credit account is settled and closed now but still shows late payment markers even tho they wasnt my fault...

For that you would need to write a complaint to their Data controller.

How do i get in touch with Lee, Brigadier?

Use this method to get Lee on board

Hi CAG members,

We thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves and to assure you all that our presence on CAG is with the very best of intentions.

vodafone UK has recently introduced a dedicated Web Relations Team which is keen to seek out customers who’re having difficulties with their accounts and feel that they have no other place to turn to than CAG and other consumer forums and blogs.

Naturally, it’s not possible for us to help directly with account specific queries on CAG and as such we would encourage those members who feel we can help them to contact us privately at customer.care@help.vodafo ne.co.uk quoting ‘WRT135 – CAG Forum’ in the subject line to ensure that it reaches the Web Relations Team.

When emailing us we would also ask that you either provide us with a link to your post or thread – if you’ve posted in another member’s thread please also provide your CAG username so that we can check what your query is.

Please note there should be no spaces in the e-mail address.

When you have done that you will receive an automated reply with a reference number....post that reference number on this thread so that Lee can track back to it.

Hi turkwyfe4lyfe,

Thanks for making me aware of this.

As suggested by Brig and ims could you email me with the relevant details via the Contact us form here and quote the code WRT135 - CAG Forum in the subject line?

Once you've received our automated reply could you then update the thread with your reference number and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?

Kind regards,

Lee
