im looking into it lee, i have sufficent evidence to prove my local trading standards withheld criminal info from his ts who adviced to complain about my ts. I would say if a cover up as took place there would be some sort of action that could be taken reason im going to see MP, to get his thoughts on matter.

Let me know what he has to say i will be doing the same through intenet and tweets to my mp, which i am at the minute. Time they did what they are there to do.

lee went to court as i thought the trader was a no show, so as i first thought used set aside to hide assets and judge said she would have thrown it out had he turned up as he had no chance of winning. Also im now in touch with MP going to ring me has regards ts failure to act on criminal evidence, so just maybe something wil get done and trader will learn a very sharp lesson on ripping people off.

i paid 2500 for car is failure to do anything he now owes 3400. cost of money claim was 80 and baliffs 100 so its not stupid costs but if you dont get anything its a lot. time is the key but its so easy through money claim just check things like if he his ltd makes a difference on what he can do to get out of it, if his not and has proper car shop and you can prove he will back down very quick but ensure you send 2 letters first, if courts think you made no effort they will side with him.

i have to send a rejection letter, as i have had a reply offering to supply starter motor, i have just mot and it passed just. Just working out what i should ask for now considering i have no intention on him touching the car at all. Thanks for that its not to bad then dont like the idea of going to court but then i dont intend to let himg get away with it.

i would say now its been mot'd by you, your only option now im not a expert but get repairs done, i would say it would not be in your favour to reject now as you say it passed mot. Your can definetly ask for cost of repairs in court but you must have that evidence you tride to get him to sort issue before you done anything to car as he will say you never gave him a chance to repair and courts might except that. Hard evidence is the answer

Mot run out june 11th so i couldnt leave as it would of been illegal so that would be my argument lol, i intend to repair what i can ie the starter i cant afford the rest. I dont trust the trader as he is lying even about the car i px and the history of one owner who is known to quite dangerous, i believe they would damage the car if let do the motor. And by accepting it would leave it difficult to ask for compensation regarding milegae differnce possibly.

lee are u driving car just went back through ur story the milage and acting has private sale i would maybe stop using and reject car, get a letter out to him give him 14days to collect and refund money or your take legal action. He will probly try make some sort of offer to you. refuse it and send 28 day letter final letter before court action both times stating milage and full rejection and full refund as long as you can solid prove the milage was definetly incorrect he wont have a leg to stand on.

yeah car i brought in thoery they clocked the milage as they put an old engine of ebay say it was a full recon, garage checked confirmed it was just an old engine and with no written proof engine could have done any sort of milage and i would be able to sell for anyway near what i paid for vehicle and they marked up price by fiddling service book stating its new engine installed.

Amazing the lengths they will go very similart as they told me of mileage difference after i had layed deposit and put it on receipt when i picked up maybe out to be a years miles differences basically but he thoughtt he could cover himself by doing this. He knew the real difference buty just pleaded he didnt know to obtain the valuation. They are becoming more clever how they do it now.

This where i fell lucky he did not give reciept, so he has no paper trail if tax man catches him fiddling is taxes as he writes of the px against car he has sold and denies any cash deal in place but has he advertises thruogh ebay wouldnt take alot to go back through cars he has sold to consumers and find out through car regs who they are and find out how much he sold each car for and see how much he declared on his tax and there you go got him and i will be putting that 1 forward, he will get is just desserts. lol his also been advertising cars it belong to mate gives different contact name and phone number aside to his car companys once again banned pratice not a very clever crook

so he should tax evasion is a very serious issue and you can get a reward for that if he is convicted on ur evidence. It all come back to TS if they did their job they would be a lot less traders doing it.
