i have been inundated with calls from moorcroft. the problem is that my phone number has been recycled from the last subscriber and i am getting all the calls for her. as usual despite repeated requests to cease and desist, i get ignored.

i have demanded they send me a copy of their complaints procedure by email which i have just received, i then receive another email from moorcroft with a password telling me i need to use it to open up the complaint document. I smell a rat

Ask them to send you a physical copy/leaflet or if you have no interest in keeping this number call your phone company and tell them you are having malicious calls you may get a free renumber.

Or just send a letter addressed to moorcrofts complaints department

Why bother with all that.

Send the Following to the Compliance Manager,

Moorcroft.

Formal Complaint./ Telephone Harassment.

Sir I refer you to recent contact made regarding the incessant and harassing phone calls made to my mobile phone number xxxxxxxxxxx, Moorcroft have been informed that the telephone nunber has been recycled and I am not the person you seek.

I have received your so called ''complaints procedure'' which quite frankly is nonsense and I will not be drawn into protracted correspondence on this matter.

So Moorcroft will immediately on recipt of this letter removal ALL references to me my phone number, address and any other data you hold, you will within 5 days of receiving this letter confirm to me in writting that you have complied with my instructions and I suggest that Moorcroft makes a resonable offer of redress for the stress, anxiety and harassment it has caused.

Should Moorcroft fail to comply I WILL commence suitable action without for notice to Moorcroft.

NOTE: This letter is sent by RM Recorded Delivery and its' receipt will be checked.

OK??

A complaint to the ICO would be in order too https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx

Under the Data Protection Act the data that Moorcroft handle should be correct.

I agree with the Brig on this, but I'd love to know why Moorcrap feel it is necessary to send their complaints procedure in a password protected zip file that can't be scanned by any antivirus software.

Is it such a big secret that nobody is allowed to know how to complain?

Re your deleted post.

Shows what numpties they are advising you to complain to FOS then admitting it's not within it's remit. As compliance officer she should know it comes under the ICO.
