  • 3 weeks later...

Ok so I posted off my spreadsheet and pre-lim letter on the 8th, seven days later (today) I got a letter through the post from HSBC saying:

Thank you for your letter dated 8 May 2007 concerning bank charges.

I am looking into the matters you have raised and will contact you with a full response as soon as I have completed my investigations.

In the meantime, I enclose a copy of our leaflet which explains how these matters are dealt with blah blah blah!

Is this just an excuse to delay things? do I sit and wait for him to contact me further?

I'm a little unsure as to what to do next so a little help would be appreciated,

Thanks

James

Ok so the 14 days are up and im going to send my LBA tomorrow but as above they did reply to me after 7 days, I only say this as at the beginning of the LBA it say's:

"I am very disappointed that you have failed to respond to my letter of the [XXDATEXX]"

So do I have to edit the start of the letter seeing as they have responded?

Thanks guys

Ok, makes sense, im filling out the claim and am on the "Defendant Details" section and was slightly unsure of the correct address of who it should be against, all my previous letters have gone to:

Colin Langdale

Senior Service Quality Officer

Arlington Business Centre,

Milshaw Park Lane,

Leeds

LS11 OPP

So would I just fill it out with: HSBC, then the address above?

Thanks

Jimmy ;)

Thanks Lat, so I filed my claim with MCOL for a total of £980.71

I guess its a waiting game until the bank respond?

Should I be getting anything together while I wait, or is it a case of twiddling my thumbs?

Jimbo.
